Painted Lady Philodendron

While it can grow without one, providing a moss pole or trellis is highly recommended. As a climbing variety, it will produce larger, more mature leaves and a fuller shape when it has a structure to anchor its aerial roots.

To keep the yellow and lime mottling vibrant, place it in bright, indirect light. Too little light will cause the leaves to revert to a solid, darker green, while direct sun can scorch the foliage.

It is relatively easy for intermediate plant owners. It follows standard philodendron care, but you should be mindful of its humidity needs and ensure the soil dries out slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.

The pink to red coloration on the petioles is a signature trait of the Painted Lady. While the intensity can vary based on light conditions, these striking stems remain a permanent feature of the plant's growth.

Under optimal conditions with consistent light and support, it is a moderate grower. You can expect it to put out new leaves regularly during the spring and summer growing seasons.
