Elite Screens Starling Tab-Tension 2 Series

Tab-tensioning uses side strings to pull the screen material taut, preventing the curling or waves that often develop on standard motorized screens over time. This ensures your projection surface remains perfectly flat, which is critical for maintaining image geometry and focus.

The Starling Tab-Tension 2 features floating installation brackets that slide along the housing, making it much easier to align with wall studs or ceiling joists. While the installation is straightforward for someone comfortable with basic tools, the screen's size and weight mean having a second person to help lift and secure it is highly recommended.

The CineWhite material is a matte white surface with a 1.1 gain, which works best in rooms where you have good control over ambient light. It is designed to provide excellent color reproduction and contrast, but it does not reject ambient light like specialized ALR (Ambient Light Rejecting) screens, so it performs best in darkened home theater settings.

The 12-volt trigger allows the screen to operate automatically in sync with your projector. When you turn your projector on, the screen automatically deploys; when you turn the projector off, the screen retracts, eliminating the need to use a separate remote every time.

Both the radio frequency (RF) and infrared (IR) remotes are included in the box. The RF remote is particularly useful because it doesn't require a direct line of sight to the screen, allowing you to control it even if the receiver is hidden or behind a bulkhead.
