Midland 21-406 External Speaker

The Midland 21-406 uses a standard 3.5mm audio plug, so it is physically compatible with most radios that feature an external speaker jack. However, it is specifically optimized for the audio output levels of Midland CB and MXT radios.

For most standard vehicle setups, 5 feet provides sufficient slack to route the cable from a dash-mounted radio to a mounting location on the dash, console, or headliner. If you are installing this in a larger cab or tractor, you may want to measure your intended path first to ensure it reaches.

The swivel base bracket is designed to tilt and rotate, allowing you to direct the audio toward the driver or passenger. While it offers flexibility in positioning, it is intended to be mounted on a relatively flat surface to ensure the base remains secure.

This external speaker offers a significant upgrade in clarity and volume. Because it is a dedicated 20W speaker, it helps cut through road noise, engine hum, and wind, making radio communications much easier to hear in loud environments like off-road vehicles or farm equipment.
