A 1.3 gain means the screen reflects 30% more light than a standard matte-white surface. This helps maintain image brightness and contrast, which is particularly beneficial if you are using a projector that needs a little extra help to make colors pop.

While the StudioTek 130 G4 is a reference-standard surface designed for light-controlled environments, its 1.3 gain provides a brightness boost that performs better than standard matte-white screens in rooms with minor ambient light. However, for the best performance and contrast, we recommend a dedicated dark room.

The 2.40:1 aspect ratio, often called Cinemascope, is the standard format for most modern feature films. This screen eliminates the black bars typically seen at the top and bottom of your image when watching widescreen movies, providing a true cinematic experience.

The fixed frame design is straightforward to assemble, but because of its 140-inch size, it is a two-person job. You will need to ensure your wall is perfectly flat and capable of supporting the weight of the frame to maintain the screen's taut, flat surface.
