The convex base helps channel water toward the center of the puck, which promotes more uniform extraction. This design helps prevent channeling and typically results in a drier, more consistent puck after brewing.

This basket is designed for use with a 58mm to 58.5mm tamper. For the best results and to ensure a tight seal against the basket walls, we recommend using a precision 58.5mm tamper.

The height you choose depends on your preferred dose of coffee. The baskets range from 20mm (10-15g) to 28.5mm (20-22g); select the size that comfortably accommodates your typical dose without overfilling the basket.

This basket features a 70mm external border (B70), which is standard for most commercial-style 58mm portafilters. However, it is always best to verify that your specific portafilter can accommodate a 70mm rim diameter.

A ridgeless design means there is no internal groove for a spring clip to lock into. This allows for easier removal from the portafilter and ensures a more consistent surface for the coffee puck, which is why it is preferred by many home baristas using bottomless portafilters.

The electropolished surface is primarily for hygiene and durability, as it creates a smoother finish that resists coffee oil buildup. While it doesn't change the flavor profile directly, it makes the basket easier to clean, ensuring your equipment stays in top condition for every shot.
