Berard Olive Wood Cheese Board & Knife Set

Berard products are typically finished with food-safe mineral oil or beeswax to protect the wood and enhance its natural grain. We recommend periodically re-oiling the board with a food-grade mineral oil to maintain its luster and prevent the wood from drying out.

Hand wash the board and knife with warm water and mild soap, then dry them immediately with a towel. Never soak the wood in water or place it in the dishwasher, as this can cause the olivewood to warp or crack.

The included olivewood knife is best suited for soft to semi-firm cheeses, such as brie, camembert, or goat cheese. Because it is crafted from wood, it is not designed for cutting through very hard, aged cheeses.

Because each piece is handcrafted from natural olivewood, every board features a unique grain pattern and color variation. You should expect your specific board to have its own distinct character rather than an identical match to the marketing imagery.

While the olivewood is durable, this board is primarily designed as a serving piece for cheese and charcuterie. Using it as a heavy-duty chopping block for meat or vegetables may leave deep knife marks and compromise the aesthetic finish over time.
