While it can grow without one, this plant is a natural climber. Providing a trellis or moss pole encourages it to grow upward, which helps the leaves develop their signature fenestrations and reach a larger, more mature size.

The goal is to keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy. Check the top inch of soil; if it feels dry to the touch, it is time to water, but ensure the pot has proper drainage to prevent root rot.

Younger plants typically have solid, slender leaves. As the plant matures and receives adequate light and support to climb, it will begin to develop the characteristic splits and holes that give it the 'Dragon Tail' look.

It thrives best in bright, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct, harsh sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, but ensure it isn't in a dark corner, as this will slow down its growth and leaf development.

It is quite similar in care requirements to a Monstera but is generally considered more manageable in size. It is a great choice if you want the aesthetic of a split-leaf plant but have limited space for a massive specimen.
