The glass jars are dishwasher safe. However, it is recommended to hand wash the metal lids to prevent rusting and ensure the longevity of the sealing compound.

The wide mouth opening makes it significantly easier to pack larger fruits or vegetables into the jar without bruising them. It also simplifies the filling and decanting process, reducing spills and mess.

While the screw bands can be reused multiple times, the tin sealing discs are designed for single use during the canning process to ensure a reliable vacuum seal. You will need to purchase new discs for each new batch of preserves.
