Yes, a box spring or foundation is required for this bed. While it features durable laminated solid hardwood slat support rails, the design is intended to be used with a separate foundation to support your mattress.

The headboard features built-in USB-A and USB-C ports, allowing you to charge your devices directly from your bed. It comes with a UL-listed power cord that you simply plug into a standard wall outlet.

The headboard is upholstered in a polyester-synthetic fabric, which is generally durable and easy to spot clean. We recommend using a mild, water-free solvent or upholstery shampoo if you need to treat any spills.

This bed is designed as a standard panel bed. While it may be possible to fit an adjustable base inside the frame, you would likely need to omit the included slat support system, and we recommend measuring your specific base against the interior dimensions of the frame to ensure a proper fit.

The frame is built for longevity using a combination of hardwood solids, mango wood veneer, and MDF substrates. This mix provides structural stability while maintaining the rich, dark brown finish.
