Yes, the bench is crafted from solid carbonized teak, which is naturally water-resistant and durable. It is designed to withstand outdoor conditions, though we recommend covering it during extreme weather to maintain the finish.

The carbonized teak is naturally resilient and will develop a unique character over time. You can simply wipe it down with a damp cloth; no harsh chemicals or specialized treatments are required to maintain its structural integrity.

The bench is designed with a slatted top that is comfortable on its own, but the optional Sunbrella acrylic pad adds a layer of softness and style. Since the pad is made from 100% Sunbrella acrylic, it is just as weather-resistant as the frame.

The Madura bench weighs 93 pounds. Its solid teak construction provides a substantial, stable feel, so it is best suited for a permanent or semi-permanent placement in your space.
