The Sarah chest is handcrafted from sustainably harvested cherry or maple. Both options are solid wood and offer distinct grain patterns and color profiles that will age beautifully over time.

The chest uses adjustable, spring-loaded wooden slides that provide a traditional, tactile feel. While they don't offer the soft-close mechanism found in modern metal hardware, they are highly durable and designed to operate smoothly for years.

The frame, top, and drawer boxes are constructed from solid wood. To ensure structural integrity and prevent warping, the case sides and back are crafted using high-quality 1/4-inch veneer panels.

To maintain the finish, simply dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or furniture polishes, as these can build up and dull the natural luster of the wood over time.

The drawers are built with asymmetrical English dovetail joinery. This traditional technique is chosen for its superior strength and resistance to the pulling forces applied when opening and closing the drawers daily.
