Yes, because it is crafted from solid concrete, the planter has significant weight and stability. It is well-suited for windy patios or exposed garden areas where lighter plastic pots might tip over.

The Lombard Concrete Planter does not come with a pre-drilled drainage hole. If you plan to plant directly into the container, we recommend drilling a hole using a masonry bit or using a liner to manage water levels.

Concrete is durable, but it can be susceptible to cracking if water trapped inside the soil freezes and expands. We recommend elevating the planter off the ground or moving it to a sheltered area during freezing temperatures to ensure its longevity.

As a natural material, the concrete may develop a subtle patina or minor weathering when exposed to the elements. This is a normal characteristic of concrete and often adds to the modern, organic aesthetic of the piece.

The planter features a raw concrete finish. While it is robust, it is porous, so it may absorb moisture or oils over time if placed directly on a deck or patio; using a saucer or protective feet underneath is a good practice to prevent surface staining.
