Wormy Maple is prized for its distinct aesthetic, featuring unique dark streaks and pinholes caused by ambrosia beetles. These natural markings ensure that every tabletop has a one-of-a-kind grain pattern, adding character and a rustic warmth that cannot be replicated.

The cast iron base is exceptionally heavy and robust, providing a low center of gravity that makes the table very stable. While it is safe for most surfaces, we recommend using felt pads on the bottom of the base if you are placing it on hardwood or tile floors to prevent scratching.

The table is delivered in two main components: the solid wood top and the cast iron base. Some minor assembly is required to securely attach the top to the base, but all necessary hardware and instructions are included.

To preserve the wood, wipe it down with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners. We recommend using a high-quality furniture wax or oil periodically to keep the wood hydrated and protected from minor spills.

The cast iron base is finished to be durable and resistant to everyday wear. However, like all cast iron, it should be kept dry and away from standing water to prevent oxidation.
