While all options are solid wood, species like Oak and Hard Maple offer high density and prominent grain patterns, making them exceptionally durable. Softer woods or rustic grades, such as Rustic Cherry or Rustic Hickory, feature natural character marks like knots and mineral streaks that provide a more organic, textured aesthetic.

This bed is designed as a classic panel frame, which typically requires a box spring or a low-profile foundation to reach the optimal sleeping height. If you prefer a platform-style setup without a box spring, you may need to add a bunkie board or additional slats to ensure proper mattress support.

To maintain the finish, dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or furniture polishes containing silicone. Keep the bed away from direct heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight to prevent the wood from drying out or the finish from fading over time.

The bed is constructed with traditional joinery techniques, meaning it is designed for stability and longevity.
