The Amish House Shaker Leaner

While the Shaker Leaner is designed primarily to lean against a wall for a relaxed, casual look, it is constructed from solid wood and can be professionally wall-mounted if you prefer a permanent installation. We recommend consulting with a professional installer to ensure the appropriate hardware is used for your specific wall type.

Once you select your preferred wood and stain, we send physical samples directly to you for approval. This ensures the color and finish meet your expectations in your home's specific lighting before we begin crafting your mirror.

Standard Cherry is selected for a cleaner, more uniform grain pattern with minimal knots. Rustic Cherry includes natural character marks, such as small knots and mineral streaks, which add a more organic, lived-in aesthetic to the frame.

The frame is crafted from 100% solid wood. We use premium hardwoods like Brown Maple, Cherry, and Quartersawn White Oak to ensure durability and a high-quality finish that lasts for generations.

Brown Maple is an excellent choice for dark stains because it has a smooth, consistent grain that takes deep, rich pigments very evenly. Oak and Quartersawn White Oak also work well, though they will retain more of their natural, prominent grain texture beneath the stain.
