The 24-inch stool is designed for standard counter-height surfaces, typically 36 inches tall. The 30-inch stool is intended for bar-height surfaces, which are usually 42 inches tall. We recommend measuring from the floor to the underside of your counter to ensure you have at least 10 to 12 inches of legroom.

The wood seat offers a classic, easy-to-clean surface that highlights the natural grain of the hardwood. The fabric and leather options include a 2-inch foam cushion, providing extra comfort for longer periods of sitting, though they require more care to maintain than the solid wood surface.

The swivel mechanism is built for durability and everyday use. While it generally does not require regular maintenance, you should periodically check that the mounting screws remain tight to ensure smooth rotation and stability.

Stains highlight the natural wood grain, while paints provide a solid, opaque color. Our conversion varnish finish adds a protective layer that resists moisture and daily wear, and you can choose between a semi-gloss or flat matte sheen to suit your aesthetic preference.

Distressing is a manual process where our woodworkers add intentional character marks, such as small nicks or wear patterns, to the wood. Light distressing provides a subtle, lived-in look, while heavy distressing creates a more rustic, antique appearance.

While the stool is structurally sound without it, adding a footrest significantly improves comfort, especially for shorter individuals or when sitting for extended periods. It also helps prevent wear on the stool's legs by providing a dedicated place to rest your feet.
