The 24-inch stool is designed for standard counter-height surfaces, typically around 36 inches high. The 30-inch stool is intended for bar-height surfaces, which are usually 42 inches high. Measure from the floor to the underside of your counter to ensure you have at least 10 to 12 inches of legroom.

The optional swivel is a great choice if your stool will be placed in a high-traffic area or a tight space where pulling the stool out is difficult. It allows for easier entry and exit from the seat without needing to scoot the stool across the floor.

The Jamestown stool features a specifically contoured single-slat backrest designed to align with the natural curve of the spine. While it is a solid wood seat, this ergonomic shaping provides significantly more comfort for extended sitting than a flat or vertical-slat back.

To keep the wood in top condition, simply dust regularly with a soft cloth and wipe up spills immediately. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or furniture polishes with silicone, as these can build up and dull the finish over time.
