The bed features height-adjustable slats, making it compatible with a mattress-only setup or a platform-style configuration. You do not need a box spring, though you can use one if you prefer a higher sleeping profile.

The top of the bed slats sits 8⅛ inches from the floor. Without the optional storage drawers, you will have approximately 8 inches of clearance underneath the frame.

The standard footboard stands at 24 inches tall, providing a more traditional, enclosed look. The optional low footboard is 17 inches tall, which offers a more open aesthetic and is often preferred for smaller rooms or to make changing the bedding easier.

The underbed storage drawers are designed as an optional integrated component. They are built to fit the specific dimensions of the Willowton frame to ensure a seamless, flush appearance.

Each wood species has a unique grain pattern and density that absorbs stain differently. For example, oak will show more prominent grain texture, while maple or cherry will offer a smoother, more uniform finish.

The bed is designed for standard home assembly. Because it is constructed from solid wood, the components are substantial, so we recommend having two people present to safely maneuver and secure the headboard, footboard, and side rails.
