The duration depends on your plant's specific water needs, the ambient temperature, and the soil type. Generally, you can expect it to last between 3 to 5 days, but it is best to check the water level periodically until you understand your plant's consumption rate.

It is ideal for most standard houseplants that prefer consistently moist soil. However, it is not recommended for succulents, cacti, or other plants that require the soil to dry out completely between waterings, as the constant moisture could cause root rot.

To keep the water flowing freely, gently rinse the ceramic spike under warm water every few weeks. If you notice mineral deposits, soaking the spike in a mixture of water and white vinegar for a few hours will help dissolve any blockages.

The spike is designed to be stable, but it is best suited for medium-to-large pots where the soil is deep enough to support the 12cm length of the spike. In very small or shallow pots, the weight may cause it to lean, so ensure the soil is packed firmly around the base.

While it is designed for indoor use, you can use it outdoors in sheltered areas. Keep in mind that direct sunlight and higher outdoor temperatures will cause the water to evaporate or be absorbed by the plant much faster than it would indoors.
