Aged Metal Orangery Planter

Yes, the metal construction is durable enough for outdoor use. However, because it features an aged metal finish, we recommend placing it in a covered area or applying a clear sealant if you live in an area with heavy rainfall to help preserve the specific patina.

The included metal liner does not come with pre-drilled drainage holes. If you are planting directly into the liner for outdoor use, you may want to drill holes in the bottom to prevent water buildup, or use the liner as a cachepot for a nursery pot.

The planter has a solid metal construction, but it is not weighted at the base. If you live in a particularly windy area, we suggest adding a layer of gravel or heavy stones at the bottom of the liner to provide extra stability.

While the finish is sealed for durability, metal planters can sometimes leave marks on porous surfaces like natural stone or light-colored wood when exposed to moisture. We recommend using a protective plant stand or a clear saucer underneath if you are concerned about surface staining.

Simply wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or debris. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbers, as these can strip away the intentional weathered finish.
