The Scavo technique is a traditional glassmaking process designed to mimic the weathered, matte appearance of ancient Roman glass. It results in a frosted, slightly textured surface rather than a high-gloss finish.

While the vase is watertight, the Scavo finish is porous and can be sensitive to mineral deposits from tap water. We recommend using it primarily as a decorative object or with a small glass liner if you plan to display fresh stems.

To preserve the integrity of the frosted finish, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges, which could alter the texture or scratch the glass.

The handles are primarily decorative and intended for aesthetic balance. We recommend handling the vase by its main body rather than the handles to ensure the long-term safety of the piece.
