Axiom VP160

The VP160 uses the same driver technology found in Axiom's tower speakers, including the M60. This consistency in components ensures that sound pans across your front stage seamlessly without tonal shifts.

The VP160 is quite efficient with an SPL of 97 dB, meaning it can be driven by as little as 10 watts. However, it can handle up to 250 watts RMS, so it will easily scale with high-performance home theater receivers or dedicated power amps.

The acoustic suspension design provides a sealed enclosure that results in tighter, more controlled bass response. This is particularly beneficial for a center channel, as it helps keep dialog clean and prevents the 'boomy' sound sometimes found in ported speakers.

The speaker measures 11.5 inches high by 21 inches wide and 13.9 inches deep. Given its weight of over 43 pounds, ensure your shelf or cabinet is sturdy enough to support the speaker and has enough depth to accommodate the cabinet and cable connections.

By isolating the midrange frequencies, the VP160 can reproduce human voices with much greater clarity and detail. This prevents the midrange from being muddied by the lower frequencies handled by the dual 6.5-inch woofers.
