American Fireglass Fire Glass

This fire glass is designed specifically for gas fire pits and fireplaces. It should not be used in wood-burning fireplaces, as the glass can become coated in soot and ash, and the intense, direct heat from burning wood can damage or discolor the glass.

The luster finish is a high-quality coating applied to the glass, but it is durable enough to withstand the heat of standard gas fire features. While it is designed to last, you should avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can dull the reflective surface.

A 10 lb jar is a great starter size, but the amount you need depends on the dimensions of your fire pit burner pan. Generally, you want enough glass to cover the burner by about one inch; we recommend measuring your pan's width and depth to calculate the total volume required.

While the glass itself is non-toxic, the edges can be sharp, similar to broken glass. We recommend wearing gloves when handling and pouring the glass to prevent any accidental cuts.

The color is infused into the glass during the manufacturing process, so it will not fade from sunlight or heat. The luster finish is also heat-resistant, ensuring the glass maintains its vibrant appearance even after repeated use.
