Yes. Because carbon fiber is abrasive, you must use a hardened steel or stainless steel nozzle to prevent rapid wear. A brass nozzle will degrade quickly and cause print quality issues.

We recommend using a nozzle with a diameter of 0.6mm or larger. Smaller nozzles, such as the standard 0.4mm, are prone to clogging due to the carbon fiber particles suspended in the PETG.

While the temperature range is similar to standard PETG, you should set your cooling fan to 0% for the best layer adhesion. Additionally, because this material is more rigid and prone to absorbing moisture, keeping it in a dry box or using a filament dryer is highly recommended for the best results.

While not strictly mandatory, using an enclosure is highly recommended. It helps maintain a consistent ambient temperature, which significantly improves dimensional stability and reduces the risk of warping in larger, functional parts.

This filament offers improved heat resistance compared to standard PLA, capable of enduring temperatures up to 140℉. It is suitable for many functional applications, but it is not intended for high-heat environments like automotive engine bays or direct sunlight in extreme climates.

This material is better suited for intermediate to advanced users. It requires specific hardware considerations like hardened nozzles and careful temperature management, which can be challenging if you are still mastering the basics of 3D printing.
