The infinite Z-axis allows you to print objects much longer than a standard printer by utilizing a conveyor belt that moves the print forward as it finishes. This is ideal for mass-producing identical parts in a batch or creating long, continuous items like swords or architectural models without needing to glue pieces together.

The belt is a consumable part that will eventually wear down depending on usage and the types of materials you print. You should regularly clean it with isopropyl alcohol to maintain adhesion and ensure the belt is properly tensioned to prevent slipping during long prints.

While the printer is optimized for PLA and PETG, you can technically experiment with other filaments that fall within the 240°C nozzle temperature limit. However, keep in mind that the conveyor belt surface has specific adhesion properties that may not work well with materials like ABS or flexible filaments without additional modifications.

The INFI-20 features an ESP3D Web UI, which allows you to monitor and control your printer directly from your web browser over your local network. This means you can start prints, check temperatures, and manage settings without needing to physically plug a computer into the machine.

The printer is designed for relatively easy assembly, with most of the complex components pre-installed. Most users can have the machine ready for its first print in under an hour by following the included instructions.

Thanks to the integrated TMC2208 silent stepper drivers, the motor movements are significantly quieter than standard 3D printers. You will primarily hear the cooling fans, making it suitable for use in a home office or shared workspace.
