Jute is a dense, natural fiber that provides a reliable thermal barrier for standard hot dishes, pots, and pans. While it is highly effective for everyday kitchen use, we recommend avoiding placing extremely high-heat cast iron directly from the stovetop onto the trivet to preserve the longevity of the fibers.

Because this is made from 100% natural jute, it should not be submerged in water or machine washed. Spot clean any spills immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area.

The artwork is hand-stenciled onto the braided jute surface. This technique gives the pine tree motif a rustic, authentic appearance that complements the natural texture of the plant fibers.

The 10-inch diameter is standard for most medium-sized saucepans, serving bowls, and kettles. If you frequently use oversized Dutch ovens or extra-large platters, you may find that the edges of your cookware extend slightly beyond the trivet.

As a natural plant fiber, some minor shedding is normal when the item is new. However, the braided construction is designed for durability and will hold its shape well with regular use in a home environment.
