Because of the natural jute and wool blend, these placemats should only be spot cleaned. Gently blot spills with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then allow them to air dry completely to maintain the integrity of the braided fibers.

While they lean toward a rustic or farmhouse aesthetic, their neutral sand and oatmeal palette makes them versatile enough for casual to semi-formal dining. They add a sophisticated, organic texture that works well with stoneware or ceramic dinnerware.

These placemats provide a layer of protection against scratches and minor heat, but they are not heat-proof. We recommend using trivets or heat-resistant pads under hot serving dishes to prevent any potential damage to your table surface.

The jute and wool blend is durable and weighted, which helps them lay flat on most surfaces. If they arrive slightly curled from shipping, simply lay them flat under a heavy book for a few hours to help them settle into their shape.

These are designed specifically for indoor use. Exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, or humidity outdoors can cause the natural fibers to fade, fray, or potentially develop mildew over time.
