The Valance is an unlined, simpler piece measuring 72 by 14 inches, designed for a lighter, more casual look. The Fishtail Swag is larger at 145 by 25 inches and features a lining, which provides more structure, weight, and a dramatic, layered appearance.

Because these are made of 100% cotton, we recommend dry cleaning or spot cleaning to preserve the integrity of the Jacquard weave and prevent shrinkage. Always check the care label on your specific item for the manufacturer's precise instructions.

The Jacquard weave creates a subtle, tone-on-tone texture rather than a high-contrast print, so it generally reads as a sophisticated neutral. It adds character without overwhelming smaller spaces, especially if you stick to the lighter color options.

The valance measures 72 inches wide. For a standard window, one valance is usually sufficient, but if you have a wider window or prefer a fuller, more gathered look, you may want to overlap two valances.

The lining adds a layer of opacity, which helps the fabric hold its shape better and provides slightly more privacy than the unlined valance. It will filter light softly rather than blocking it out completely.
