The #12 aluminum blade is designed for durability and is well-suited for moving loose materials like mulch, grain, and light snow. While it is robust for these tasks, avoid using it to pry up heavy rocks or frozen ground, as extreme force can deform the metal.

The wooden handle provides a natural, comfortable grip that is sturdy for general yard work. To ensure longevity, we recommend storing the scoop in a dry place like a shed or garage when not in use to prevent the wood from weathering or splintering over time.

This scoop is excellent for clearing light to moderate snow from walkways and decks due to its wide blade. However, it is not intended for breaking up thick, compacted ice or heavy, wet snow, which may put excessive stress on the handle and blade connection.
