Drosera intermedia - Bare Root

Bare root means the plant is shipped without any soil or growing media attached to its roots. This allows you to inspect the root health upon arrival and pot the plant immediately into your own preferred carnivorous plant substrate.

Because these are mature plants, they are typically capable of flowering during their next active growing season. Once they flower, they will naturally produce seeds that you can collect to propagate new plants.

Carnivorous plants require nutrient-poor, acidic soil. A standard mix for sundews is a blend of peat moss and perlite or silica sand, ensuring the media is free of added fertilizers or minerals.

Since the plants arrive rinsed and free of media, you should gently hydrate the roots by misting them or placing them in a small amount of distilled water while you prepare your pot. Avoid letting the roots dry out completely before planting them into your moist substrate.

As these are living, mature specimens, there will be natural variations in size and leaf count between individual plants. Each specimen is unique, but you can expect a healthy, mature plant ready for immediate cultivation.
