The kit is a turnkey solution that includes three genuine blue limestone columns, a 48-inch Achelous molded fountain basin, a high-performance Mag-Drive pump, and 200 lbs of black polished pebbles for the base.

Because it is genuine limestone, it is highly durable and weather-resistant. However, you should periodically clean the stone with a soft brush and mild soap to prevent algae buildup and ensure the water flow remains unobstructed.

While the stone is weather-resistant, you must winterize the fountain in freezing climates. This involves draining the basin, removing the pump, and storing it indoors to prevent damage from ice expansion.

You will need to accommodate the 48-inch diameter of the Achelous basin. Since the fountain is a pond-style kit, ensure you have a level, stable area of ground large enough to support the basin and the weight of the stone columns.

The triple-column design creates a multi-level cascade that produces varied, soothing water sounds. The volume is generally enough to mask ambient neighborhood noise, making it ideal for creating a serene atmosphere in a garden.

The kit is designed for assembly, but it does require some manual labor, including site leveling and potentially digging to bury the basin if you prefer a flush-to-ground look. If you are comfortable with basic plumbing and landscaping, it is a manageable DIY project.
