It is a fully self-contained system. The water recirculates from the basin through the columns, so you do not need a dedicated plumbing connection. You will simply need to top off the basin occasionally to account for natural evaporation.

The basin measures 48 inches in diameter, but it tapers to a total footprint of approximately 51.5 inches. You should ensure you have a level area at least 5 feet wide to accommodate the basin and allow for easy access to the pump.

Because the kit includes the basin, pump, and all necessary fittings, most homeowners can install it themselves. You will need to dig a hole for the basin, level it, and connect the pump, but no specialized plumbing or masonry skills are required.

Since basalt is a natural stone, it is durable, but the pump and plumbing should be protected from freezing. In colder climates, we recommend draining the basin and storing the pump indoors during the winter to prevent damage.
