Acetal is a high-impact, durable plastic that is significantly lighter than metal, which reduces wrist fatigue during repetitive tamping. It also provides a warm, comfortable grip that remains stable even in busy, high-volume environments.

TrueTamp rings are precision-machined grooves on the side of the tamper base. They act as a visual guide to help you ensure the tamper is perfectly level with the top of your filter basket, preventing uneven extraction.

While many machines are marketed as 58mm, the actual basket diameter can vary. The 57.5mm size is specifically engineered for precision baskets, such as those from Pullman or VST, to ensure a snug fit that minimizes coffee grounds left on the sidewalls.

The NexusPro base features a very sharp edge designed to achieve a precise seal against the basket wall. Because this edge is thin and sharp to maximize extraction, it can be damaged if dropped or knocked against hard surfaces, so it should be handled with care.

The tapered design helps reduce the vacuum effect that can occur when lifting the tamper out of the basket. This prevents the tamper from pulling up on the coffee puck, which can sometimes cause cracks or surface disturbances in the bed.
