The kit is designed for straightforward installation. You will need to dig a hole to bury the included AquaBasin® 45, place the pump inside, connect the tubing, and set the urn on top. It is a recirculating system, so no external plumbing is required.

Maintenance is minimal, primarily involving keeping the pump intake clear of debris and topping off the water level as it evaporates. Because it is a recirculating system, you may occasionally need to add a water treatment to prevent algae growth and keep the water clear.

While the fiber-resin composite is lightweight and durable, it is not explicitly rated for extreme freeze-thaw cycles. In colder climates, we recommend draining the basin and storing the pump indoors during winter to prevent damage.
