Monterey Green Lawn Pigment

Monterey Green Lawn Pigment is strictly a cosmetic colorant, not a fertilizer. It is designed to improve the aesthetic appearance of dormant or stressed grass rather than provide nutrients for growth.

The duration depends on your local weather conditions and how frequently you mow. Generally, the pigment is long-lasting and will remain visible until the grass grows out and is cut, or until it gradually fades over several weeks.

Once the application has fully dried—which usually takes a few hours depending on humidity and sunlight—the pigment bonds to the grass blades. It should not transfer to pets or shoes under normal conditions.

You can use it on both. While it is most popular for masking dormancy in winter or drought stress in summer, it works equally well on actively growing lawns if you want to achieve a deeper, more uniform green color.

You will need a standard pump-up garden sprayer to apply the concentrate. Simply mix the required amount of pigment with water according to the label instructions and spray evenly across the affected areas.

The pigment is safe for grass, but it is a dye, so it can stain porous surfaces like concrete, stone, or painted wood. It is best to rinse off any overspray immediately with water before it has a chance to dry.
