While it can be used with both direct drive and Bowden extruders, direct drive systems generally offer more reliable results with flexible filaments. If you are using a Bowden setup, ensure your printer is calibrated for slower speeds and minimal retraction to prevent jams.

Disabling retraction helps prevent the flexible filament from getting stuck or tangled inside the extruder mechanism. Since TPU is soft, pulling it back and forth can cause it to deform or clog the nozzle, so it is safer to turn retraction off and manage stringing through temperature adjustments instead.

For the best results, aim for a print speed between 15 and 30 mm/s. Printing slower allows the material to extrude consistently and prevents the filament from buckling under the pressure of the extruder gear.

This TPU is excellent for functional parts that need to be durable and flexible, such as gaskets, protective cases, shock-absorbent bumpers, or vibration dampeners. Its resistance to oil, grease, and abrasion makes it a reliable choice for mechanical components that face daily wear.

TPU is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air, which can ruin print quality. Keep it in the provided vacuum-sealed bag with the desiccant pack when not in use, and consider using a dry box if you live in a humid environment.
