The Ball™ technology houses the vacuum's core components, allowing the unit to pivot easily. This design makes it significantly simpler to steer around furniture and tight corners compared to traditional fixed-wheel upright vacuums.

While it is engineered for deep carpet cleaning, the active base plate automatically adjusts to maintain optimal contact with hardwood and tile floors. This ensures effective suction across all surface types without needing to manually change settings.

You do not need to replace them. The DC65 Animal features a lifetime washable post-filter, meaning you simply rinse it under cold water, let it dry completely for at least 24 hours, and reinstall it.

The instant high-reach wand is designed to extend quickly, making it ideal for cleaning stairs, upholstery, and baseboards. While it is excellent for reaching up to ceiling corners, keep in mind that the vacuum unit itself remains on the floor while you use the wand.

The bin is bagless and empties with the push of a button, though you may occasionally need to wipe it out if dust clings to the sides. The brush bar should be checked periodically for tangled pet hair or debris to ensure it continues to rotate freely.

At 17.35 lbs, it is a full-sized upright vacuum. While it is engineered to feel lightweight during use due to the Ball™ steering, you will need to lift the full weight of the unit if you are carrying it up and down stairs.
