KEF R7 Speaker

The Uni-Q array places the tweeter in the acoustic center of the midrange cone, acting as a single point source. This design helps sound disperse more evenly throughout your room, creating a wider, more natural soundstage that doesn't force you to sit in one specific 'sweet spot' to hear the best audio.

The R7 is designed to excel at both. Its three-way configuration and dual bass drivers provide the punch and scale required for cinematic movie soundtracks, while its precise imaging and midrange clarity make it equally capable for critical music listening.

KEF designed the microfibre grilles specifically to have a negligible impact on acoustic performance. You can leave them on to protect the drivers or remove them for a cleaner look without worrying about compromising the sound.

The R7 uses a Constrained Layer Damping bracing system, which effectively absorbs and dissipates internal vibrations before they can color the sound. This ensures that what you hear is the music itself, rather than resonance from the speaker cabinet.

Traditional speaker ports can sometimes introduce unwanted resonances that bleed into the midrange frequencies. The R7's flexible port walls are engineered to prevent this, ensuring the bass remains tight and impactful without muddying the clarity of vocals or instruments.
