General Hydroponics pH Control Kit

Plants can only absorb nutrients when the water's pH level falls within a specific range. If the pH is too high or too low, your plants will experience nutrient lockout, meaning they cannot access the food you provide, regardless of how much fertilizer you use.

Fill the provided testing vial with a sample of your nutrient solution, add a few drops of the indicator solution, and compare the resulting color to the chart on the bottle. It is a simple, visual way to gauge your pH level without needing an expensive digital meter.

While this kit is specifically formulated for hydroponic reservoirs, it can be used to adjust the pH of water used for soil-grown plants. Just be careful to mix it into your watering can first, rather than applying it directly to the soil, to avoid shocking the roots.

Always start with a very small amount, such as a few drops, and stir your reservoir thoroughly before testing again. These solutions are highly concentrated, so it is much easier to add more than it is to correct an over-adjustment.

The solutions are shelf-stable and will remain effective for a long time if stored in a cool, dark place with the caps tightly sealed. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or extreme temperature fluctuations to maintain their potency.
