Tulip Planter

The Tulip Planter does not come with a pre-drilled drainage hole. If you plan to use it outdoors, you may want to drill one or use a liner to prevent water from pooling at the bottom.

Because it is crafted from solid cast iron, this planter is quite substantial and heavy. This weight is an advantage for outdoor use, as it ensures the planter remains stable and won't tip over in high winds.

Cast iron is naturally prone to oxidation when exposed to moisture. While the material is durable and weather-resistant, you should expect it to develop a natural patina over time, which many find adds to the mid-century aesthetic.

With a height of 9 inches, this planter is best suited for shallow-rooted flowers, succulents, or seasonal annuals. It is not deep enough to accommodate large shrubs or trees with extensive root systems.

While designed for outdoor use, you can certainly use it indoors if you place it on a protective surface. Keep in mind that because it lacks a drainage hole, you should use a plastic liner or be very careful with watering to avoid damaging your floors.
