Filco KOBO Frame Keyboard

This frame is specifically designed for the Filco Majestouch Convertible 2 full-size keyboard. It will not fit other Filco models or keyboards from different manufacturers.

The Shunkei Openwork Lacquer finish is durable, but it should be treated like any high-gloss surface. Wipe it down with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust or fingerprints, and avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive materials that could scratch the resin.

Replacing the top frame is straightforward, though it does require removing the existing frame from your Majestouch Convertible 2. You will need a small screwdriver to remove the screws on the underside of the keyboard, but no soldering or complex technical skills are required.

Because of the lacquer application, the surface is smooth, glossy, and slightly more substantial than a standard matte plastic frame. It offers a premium, polished feel under your hands while typing.

Because the Shunkei Openwork Lacquer is a traditional craft technique, there can be slight variations in the depth and pattern of the color gradation. Each frame is unique, so the specific swirl of red and yellow may differ slightly from the images shown.
