This spoon is not dishwasher safe, as high heat and moisture can cause the wood to crack or warp. Hand wash it with mild soap and warm water, then dry it immediately. Periodically applying a food-safe mineral oil or wood wax will help maintain the finish and prevent the wood from drying out.

The 15.5-inch length is specifically designed for deep stock pots, Dutch ovens, and large mixing bowls. While it provides excellent reach for deep vessels, it may feel oversized if you primarily use shallow pans or small saucepans.

While the spoon is durable for stirring and serving, it is not oven-safe. It is best suited for stovetop cooking and serving rather than leaving it inside a pot while it is in the oven.
