Duan Ni clay is highly porous and known for its ability to absorb the oils and aromas of the tea over time. This process, often called seasoning, can enhance the flavor profile of your brews, particularly for Pu-erh, black, and oolong teas.

This teapot features a single-hole spout, which is common in traditional Yixing-style pots. To manage loose leaves, we recommend using a separate tea strainer over your cup or serving vessel, or using larger-leaf teas that are less likely to pass through the spout.

With a 185 ml capacity, this teapot is designed primarily for solo sessions or intimate servings for two. It is perfectly sized for Gongfu-style brewing, where you steep smaller amounts of tea for shorter durations over multiple infusions.

Avoid using soap or detergents, as the porous clay will absorb these chemicals and affect future brews. Simply rinse the pot with hot water after each use and allow it to air dry thoroughly with the lid off to prevent moisture buildup.
