Wash the wrap in cool water using a mild, alcohol-free soap. Avoid hot water, which can melt the beeswax coating, and simply let it air dry before folding it for storage.

With proper care and regular use, this wrap is designed to last up to one year. Over time, the wax coating may naturally wear down, at which point it can be composted.

It is best to avoid using beeswax wraps for raw meat or fish. Because the wraps cannot be washed in high-heat water or sanitized in a dishwasher, they are better suited for produce, cheese, bread, and dry snacks.

The warmth of your hands is the secret. Simply wrap the fabric around your food or container and hold it in place for a few seconds; the heat from your palms will soften the wax, allowing it to create a secure, airtight seal as it cools.

Because the wrap is made from organic cotton and natural ingredients like beeswax, plant oils, and tree resin, it is fully compostable. You can cut it into strips and add it to your home compost bin when it reaches the end of its life.
