The T-handle provides superior leverage, allowing you to use your body weight to push the scoop into compacted soil or dense compost. This design reduces wrist strain and makes repetitive digging tasks significantly more comfortable.

While it is excellent for moving compost and potting soil, the thick, sharpened blade is also robust enough for planting bulbs or digging small holes in garden beds. However, it is not intended for prying out large rocks or breaking through heavy clay or rocky ground.

The 25-inch length offers an extended reach that is perfect for working in raised beds or deep containers without having to lean over as far. It strikes a balance between a handheld trowel and a full-sized shovel, providing more power without being cumbersome.

DeWit tools are traditionally crafted using sustainably sourced ash hardwood. This material is chosen for its strength, flexibility, and ability to absorb shock during use.

The blade is durable, but like any sharpened steel tool, it may eventually dull depending on how often you hit stones or abrasive soil. You can maintain the edge easily with a standard metal file or sharpening stone whenever you notice it losing its bite.
