The full isolation mounting system uses gaskets to completely separate the plate from the case. This design eliminates direct contact between the two, which softens the bottom-out feel and creates a more consistent, muted acoustic profile.

The Gravestone-40 is compatible with standard MX-style mechanical switches. It does not support low-profile or optical switches.

The PCB features an optional slot for a rotary encoder in the top-left position. You can install one if you prefer tactile volume or scroll control, or leave it empty if you prefer a standard key layout.

The aluminum plate provides a stiffer, more rigid typing feel with a sharper sound profile. The forged carbon plate offers a slightly more flexible typing experience and a distinct aesthetic, often resulting in a deeper sound signature.

The Gravestone-40 supports single-color in-switch LED lighting. While you can control the brightness and basic behavior, it does not support full RGB color cycling.

The board uses the STM32F072 controller, which is widely compatible with QMK and VIA firmware. These tools allow you to remap keys, create layers, and manage your encoder settings through a standard interface.
