Gateron Aliaz Switch

These switches feature internal dampeners that significantly reduce the 'clack' sound upon bottoming out. While they are not completely silent, they are much quieter than standard switches, making them an excellent choice for shared office spaces or quiet home environments.

The Aliaz switches are 5-pin, meaning they have two plastic guide pins in addition to the metal contact pins. If your keyboard PCB only supports 3-pin switches, you can simply clip off the two extra plastic pins with a pair of flush cutters to make them fit.

The Aliaz switch offers a more pronounced and distinct tactile bump than a standard Gateron Brown. It is often compared to a Cherry MX Clear, providing a more substantial, satisfying feel that is better suited for users who prefer a slightly heavier actuation.

These switches come unlubricated from the factory. While they are smooth out of the box, many enthusiasts choose to apply their own lubricant to further refine the sound and feel, though it is entirely optional.

The fully transparent housing is specifically designed to allow RGB and LED lighting to shine through clearly. It helps diffuse the light evenly across your keycaps, making it a great choice for boards with per-key backlighting.

The choice depends on your typing style: 60g is a standard, comfortable weight for most users, while 70g and 80g offer more resistance to prevent accidental key presses. The 100g option is quite heavy and is typically reserved for users who prefer a very firm, deliberate typing experience.
