Wash the wrap in cool water with a mild, eco-friendly dish soap. Avoid hot water, as it will melt the wax coating, and let it air dry before folding it for storage.

It is not recommended to use beeswax wraps for raw meat or fish. Because the wraps cannot be washed in hot water or sanitized in a dishwasher, they aren't suitable for items that require high-heat cleaning to prevent bacterial growth.

The warmth of your hands softens the beeswax and resin coating, allowing you to mold the wrap tightly around the edges of a bowl or directly over food. As the wrap cools, it holds its shape and creates a breathable, protective seal.

Do not use these wraps in the microwave, oven, or dishwasher, as high temperatures will melt the wax. Additionally, avoid wrapping hot food, as it must be cooled to room temperature first to maintain the integrity of the coating.

Once the wrap loses its stickiness and can no longer effectively seal food, it is fully compostable. You can cut it into strips and add it to your home compost bin or use it as a natural fire starter.
