Matador DL16 Backpack

The backpack is designed to compress into its own integrated stuff sack. While exact dimensions vary based on how tightly you roll it, it is compact enough to fit easily into a jacket pocket or the corner of a larger suitcase.

The bag is constructed from waterproof 30D Cordura and features water-resistant zippers. It is highly effective at keeping your gear dry during rain showers, though it is not intended to be submerged in water.

The DL16 is designed as a lightweight daypack and does not include a dedicated, padded laptop sleeve. While a small tablet or a slim 13-inch laptop might fit in the main compartment, it will lack the structural protection required for heavy electronics.

The straps are designed to be breathable and lightweight to minimize bulk. While they are comfortable for sightseeing or light hiking, they are not heavily padded like a traditional hiking pack, so they are best suited for lighter loads.

The 30D Cordura and ripstop polyester are specifically chosen for their high strength-to-weight ratio. It is remarkably puncture-resistant for its weight, making it durable enough for travel and daily urban use.

Because it is an ultralight, packable bag, it does not have a rigid frame or base. It will generally need to be leaned against a surface to stay upright when set on the ground.
