B&G Vulcan Chartplotter

The Vulcan 7R is fully capable as a standalone chartplotter, but it is also designed to integrate seamlessly into a larger marine electronics network via NMEA 2000 or Ethernet. This flexibility allows you to start with just the display and add sensors or autopilots later as your needs grow.

The Vulcan 7R features direct autopilot control for compatible B&G systems. You can manage your autopilot directly from the touchscreen, making it easy to adjust headings or patterns while you are at the helm.

Unlike standard GPS units, the Vulcan 7R includes B&G-specific sailing tools like SailSteer, which overlays critical data like wind angle and laylines onto one screen. It also features a RacePanel for start-line management and SailingTime, which calculates your arrival based on actual sailing performance rather than just a straight-line distance.

The device supports a wide range of popular mapping options, including Navionics+ and Platinum+, as well as C-MAP Max N+ charts. It also comes with a global basemap pre-installed so you can get started right out of the box.

The Vulcan 7R uses a responsive multi-touch interface designed for marine environments. While touchscreens are generally intuitive, the interface is optimized for simplicity, allowing you to pinch-to-zoom and navigate menus quickly even when you are underway.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows for easy software updates and the ability to mirror your display to a smartphone or tablet. This means you can monitor your navigation data or sailing metrics from anywhere on the boat.
